What is spring for, other than sowing seeds and prepping for spring? Going to garden shows! National Garden Bureau is based in Chicago so naturally, we took a trek downtown to Navy Pier for the annual Chicago Flower & Garden Show. This year’s theme “Flowertales…Every Garden Has a Story to Tell” brings the beauty of flowers and the joy of reading together for the enjoyment of all attendees. The flower show organizers have named local charity Bernie’s Book Bank this year’s Charitable partner which will enable them to fulfill their goal of donating 12 books to each of 300,000 low-income children and 3-5 million books in total for 2018.
The photos below demonstrate how well the book theme was interpreted and displayed at this week’s show.
