2018 California Spring Trials

California Spring Trials…Here We Come

Every spring, breeders from around the world bring their brightest and newest varieties for the next growing season (2019) to California to get the horticulture industry drooling over next year’s new offerings. It’s a mind-blowing week with literally hundreds of exciting new varieties that will be coming to the market (and your garden!) in 2019.

Hop on board April 14th through April 19th as National Garden Bureau and our four #NGBPlantNerds uncover all the California Spring Trials has to offer. Follow National Garden Bureau on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter for daily discoveries. #NGBPlantNerds #NationalGardenBureau #CAspringtrials

The NGB Plant Nerds are selected for being excellent garden communicators and gardeners that will share their finds with their gardening followers.  Join Tracy Blevins, Plantsmap; Karen Chapman, Le Jardinet and Fine Foliage; Erin Schanen, The Impatient Gardener; and Marianne Willburn, The Small Town Gardener on our adventure.

This fall, many of these new varieties will be featured in National Garden Bureau’s New Plants program on the NGB website. This is a one-of-a-kind single source for new varieties. Check back this winter for plants that you will want to have in your 2019 garden!
