The Lifelong Gardener, Garden with Ease and Joy at Any Age
By Toni Gattone
Adaptive Gardening offers gardeners of all ages and abilities hundreds of ways to continue gardening, even if they have a bad back, sore knees, hips, hands, or shoulder pain. Adaptive Gardening helps gardeners think through what they can adapt or change now, so they won’t have to re-do it later.
The book is divided up into three categories:
- Part One is all about the gardener, their mindset, and their body, with suggestions to help them to re-envision how and when they garden for greater ease and joy.
- Part Two discusses how their gardens can be changed or modified to eliminate tripping hazards and ensure the safety and comfort of the gardener.
- Part Three is about tools. Gardeners can adapt their favorite tools to increase their usability or to replace them with many of the ergonomic options on the market today.
