It’s not too early to start thinking about Spring!!! And what better way than with new Tulip Bulbs?
Fall is the time to plant spring flowering bulbs and why not make next spring extra pretty with new Tulip varieties?
Our NGB members’ newest tulip bulbs will look amazing in your garden. Order early, these bulbs will sell out fast!
5 Tips for Planting Tulips
- Grow in a loose, crumbly soil that is easy to work and very well drained. The well-drained part is critical because soggy tulip bulbs rot easily.
- Plant the tulips pointy side up 3-4″ apart and 6″ deep. To easily plant your tulips from a comfortable standing position, use the ProPlugger 5-IN-1 Planting Tool. It easily digs the perfect depth hole.
- Different varieties of tulips bloom at different times in the spring. Look to extend your spring flowering season by planting tulips in many different flowering times.
- Tulips bloom best in sunny locations.
- Plant your bulbs later in the season, say in November, to avoid the squirrel and chipmunk hoarding season. Plant later, but be sure to order early for best bulb selection!
